Ayesha Curry and Steph Curry’s daughters, Ryan and Riley Curry, are gunning for Beyonce’s spot. In a new video shared by their mom, Riley can be seen showing off some stellar dance moves from Beyonce’s Black is King visual album, while her little sister lip syncs and shows off her fashion sense.

It’s not all fun and games in the Curry household. In June, Ayesha Curry and her husband, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, brought their eldest daughter Riley to a Black Lives Matter protest. In a recent interview with SELF magazine, Ayesha explained why, saying that she doesn’t believe in “sugarcoating” social issues when it comes to their three kids.
“I think we protested seven miles that day, so we knew Ryan wasn’t going to make it for the walk. But with our oldest, we felt like it was time. I mean, even if it wasn’t time, it was time, you know what I mean?” said Ayesha. “And we felt like the best way to explain everything to her was for her to see it and understand it and hear it firsthand. So we brought her with us.”
Ayesha Curry said the experience was a valuable one for 8-year-old Riley and that she learned much from the protest. “She totally got it, she internalized it, and then was able to ask us the questions that she wanted to ask without being fearful of asking them,” said Ayesha. “I feel like that’s been how we see change happening—because the children are our future, and I feel like if we’re verbally and physically instilling in them the change we wish to see, that’s the best way to get it going. So not really sugarcoating no matter how young the kids are—not sugarcoating what’s going on, really tackling it head-on, face-first—has been what’s worked for us.”
Ayesha and Stephen Curry have three kids together-Riley, Ryan and Cannon Curry.
