Full List Of Student Loan Trust Fund Defaulters February 2024

The Board and Management of the Ghana Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) decided to release the full list of defaulters of the Student Loan Trust Fund scheme before going to court to retrieve the money.

The list captures defaulters as since 2010 and includes loan defaulters from the University for Development Studies, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Ho, Bolga, Tamale, Sunyani, Koforidua, Kumasi Takoradi Polytechnics etc.

The list to be published in the Daily Graphic has names and pictures of over 20,000 defaulters. The first batch of defaulters has already been published on Thursday 21st November 2019.

The management of the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) hereby cautions defaulters to pay up all overdue balance or risk legal action after the publication

About The Ghana Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF)

The Students Loan Trust Fund gives loans to Ghana tertiary students who are pursuing accredited programmes in accredited tertiary institutions. These students must have gained admission to pursue undergraduate programmes only and have the following to apply:

a. A SSNIT a security number
b. Have a personal e-mail address.
c. Provide one guarantor.
d. Register for an e-zwich card.

And have Guarantors. A Guarantor is someone who will back up the loan and assist the Trust Fund to trace the borrower when repayment is due. In the event of death or incapacitation of borrower, guarantor is absolved from loan repayment. Guarantor will be required to pay back any outstanding loan due when the borrower cannot be traced to pay back.

The loan may be guaranteed by one of the following guarantors:

a. SSNIT Contributor
b. Recognized Religious Body
c. Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly
d. Corporate Body
