T.I.’s daughter, Deyjah Harris, did not go to her prom. The Friends and Family Hustle star recently revealed how strict her parents were when she was growing up in a series of tweets.

“I’ve never been to a football game, went to a REAL party (not birthday parties), prom, or any other dances during high school,” Deyjah revealed. “My parents were pretty strict,” the young adult continued. “If I did get permission to go somewhere, it would kinda be like a ‘someone/security needs to go with you.’ I didn’t wanna ruin the fun for people I was hanging with or have them feeling like I thought I was better than them because of it.”
i’m gonna have my own prom event/dance and anyone who missed prom or homecoming in high school can come to still get that experience 😭😭😭.

Fans saw a bit of T.I.’s parenting practices on display earlier this year. T.I. and Deyjah were challenged to hash out their differences in front of the world after the infamous “hymen-gate” scandal.
Friends and Family Hustle showed Deyjah struggling to view her father in the same light after he shared private information about her during a podcast interview. Deyjah and T.I. ultimately worked through their differences after he received a lecture from Deyjah’s mom, Ms. Niko, during a radio show segment.
